Fiber fiber fiber!

Hello!
When I came out of the student union yesterday and caught sight of the sun setting on the newly appearing foliage of the New England campus, I had a thought that struck me suddenly and with great clarity: Wool is the only thing that truly can mimic the colors I feel inside of myself.

I sound crazy, I know. It probably isn't a thought many people have on a daily basis.

I'm a knitter. Knitting is the one activity, the one passion, that I've kept on steadily practicing for a significant amount of time. My greatest joy is roaming through the local (rather expensive) yarn shop in my small town. It is an old house converted into a shop by some local sheep farmers and fiber makers, and it smells warm and raw, of lanolin. I could sleep on those shelves, all wrapped up in the colors.
I started knitting when I was 18, halfway through my freshman year of college. I'm 20 now, and still in college, but knitting is pretty much the only thing that's stayed consistent in my life since then. I started with a cowl, then a hat, then socks.

I've done a lot of socks.

Right now, I'm working on my first ever sweater!

I'll post some pictures in a little bit!
